Tactical scopes do not have to cost a lot of money.  Many new companies as well as established household brand names have entered the tactical scope market with some great offerings.  I recently picked up a Vortex Viper model in the lower price range of tactical high magnification scopes and am very impressed.  Clear, bright glass that should be on a scope costing many more times the retail of the model I bought was the first thing I noticed.  They have a large distributor IN CANADA with an informative and easy to navigate website plus people you can actually talk to if you have a problem.  A warranty that absolutely cannot be beat helped seal the deal.  If you want higher priced full feature optics they have several lines to cover most needs including their flagship Razor line of optics.  The Razor scopes should compete quite well with Nightforce in the higher end tactical scope market.
